JANUARY SAT 12: Matinee Movie

Breaking Through The Clouds, (The First Women’s National Air Derby),  Doors open noon, movie starts at 12:30 – 2:30, Location: Hangar 15, Buttonville Flying Club, Buttonville Airport. Bring your own lunch, popcorn provided.

Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club. Doors open noon, movie starts at 12:30 – 2:30, Location: Hangar 15, Buttonville Flying Club, Buttonville Airport. Bring your own lunch, popcorn provided.

MARCH SAT 02 – SUN 03: 

99s Int’l Board of Directors Meeting, OK. 

All members are invited to the Directors meeting.

MARCH SAT 30: Matinee Movie, 

Movie TBA. Doors open noon, movie starts at 12:30 – 2:30, Location: Hangar 15, Buttonville Flying Club, Buttonville Airport. Bring your own lunch, popcorn provided.

APRIL SAT 6: Speaker Presentation – Lola Reid, Location TBA: 

Lola has travelled much of the world, slept in caves, hammocks, tents, and evergreen shelters and stayed in the homes of Berber, Masai, & Maya, lived in Mexico, Belize, & Guatemala, plunged into the Caribbean as a dive master, and conducted weekly photo-travelogues (The Barrier Reef, The Modern Maya, & Maya Archaeological sites)I studied psychology, genetics, & anthropology (University of Waterloo) and accumulated nearly 6000 hours flight time as an airline pilot.

APRIL SAT 27: Girls Take Flight, 

The First Canadian Chapter of the 99s and Durham Flight Center invite girls and women to the Oshawa Airport to experience aviation! Last year was the biggest and the best Girls Take Flight event ever and we look forward this year to continuing our tradition of introducing young women to aviation through a flight, hands-on exhibits, etc. Calling all FCC 99s, we need you as we put together the leadership/planning team. 6-8 Volunteers are still needed.

MAY SAT 25: Ninety-Nines, East Canada Section Meeting

YMCA Geneva Park Conference Centre, Rama ON – a few minutes past the Orillia-Rama Airport, located on Lake Couchiching. Hosted by the First Canadian Chapter. More info to follow shortly.

JUNE SAT 8: FCC Poker Run,

Participating airport and game details to follow shortly. Volunteers requested to help at the airports.  JUNE SUN 9 is the Poker Run’s rain-date.

JUNE 18 – 22: Air Race Classic

Terminus – Niagara Central Dorothy Rungeling Airport, Welland. Let’s put together a team of FCC members to help at the terminus events and Sat banquet… or join the women who have fun racing each year on a transcontinental race across the USA. For further information go to www.airraceclassic.org

JUNE 19 – 22: Canadian Women in Aviation Conference, Ottawa.

JULY 22-28: Oshkosh AirVenture

Every year many members of the Ninety-Nines fly or drive to Oshkosh for this week long aviation adventure. Lets all hook up for a get-together and do what pilots love to do…go have lunch or dinner together! Volunteers are always needed at the Ninety-Nine’s booth.

AUGUST SAT 10: Gathering of the Classics, 99s Display

Edenvale Aerodrome. The FCC needs volunteers to help at a 99s exhibit display table at this big flyin for classic & vintage aircraft and autos. RSVP Robin Hadfield, [email protected]

SEPTEMBER ?: Gold Cup Air Rally.

OCTOBER SAT 13: FCC, ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

NOVEMBER SAT 2: The Ninety-Nines 90th Anniversary.
