Plus…On Saturday August 8th there were several FCC members who went as volunteers to the Gathering of the Classics at Edenvale Aerodrome. This is the largest fly-in for classic aircraft and autos in Canada. As volunteers we worked at the main admission gate, two of us took in a recurrent training seminar and two went to the tailwheel ground school by Dave Hadfield. It was nice to be visited by members Shirley Macdougall and meet her daughter, plus Diane Stewart came over to say hello. Our members Elizabeth, Denise, Wendy and soon to be a member Tia were a huge help to me taking in over $18,500 in revenue for the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation.Events like this are only possible because of the generous support of volunteers.Thank you ladies for helping to keep these old airplanes flying! And…Don’t forget that the FCC Annual Tea is coming up on Sunday Aug 23, 11:00 – 1:30 at the Edenvale Aerodrome. It’s early, but please RSVP [email protected] if you think you are going to be joining us at the Tea.
