First Canadian Chapter Events 2018

2018 EVENTS

MARCH 02-03: Ninety-Nines, International Board of Directors Meeting(all meetings welcome to attend), OK

MARCH 13 Tues: 90th Anniversary of Eileen Vollick’s Flight License, Warplane Heritage Museum, Hamilton. Join us for a presentation on Eileen Vollick followed by dinner. Time and Location to be confirmed.

MARCH 31 Sat: FCC Flyout Lunch, Brampton-Calendon Airport, 12:30 in the airport restaurant

APRIL 08 Sun: Tour of CYTZ, Toronto City Centre Airport, private tour of the airport & tower followed with us taking the free shuttle to the downtown area for lunch. Time and location of where to meet is to be confirmed

APRIL 21 Sat: FCC Girls Take Flight, Oshawa Airport ON. The annual Girls Take Flight is looking for volunteers. Contact Lesley Pageif you are a pilot wanting to fly the girls, or would prefer to help in the various tasks on the ground.

MAY 06 Sun: Maple Leaf Chapter’s Fly-In, WYQG Windsor Airport All chapters are welcome and those from out of town are invited the night prior, Saturday, for a leisure evening on Pelee Island CYPT. That way you will be ready for the spot landing competition at the 99s fly-in at 10:30 on Sunday at CYQG. For more information contact: [email protected]

MAY 12 Sat: FCC Flyout Lunch & Nordic Walking, Lindsay Airport. Meet us for lunch at 12:30 and afterwards learn about Nordic Pole Walking from FCC member Deb Smith. Poles will be supplied by Deb, RSVP for the Nordic Walk.

MAY 26 Sat: Ninety-Nines, East Canada Section Meeting, Kitchener/Waterloo Airport. Hosted by the Waterloo on the Grand this years annual general meeting. More info to follow shortly.

JUNE 09 Sat: FCC Poker Run, Participating airport and game details to follow shortly. Volunteers requested to help at the airports. Contact Bev Fraser

JUNE 16 Sat: Angels of Flight Airplane Pull, Peterborough Airport. Lets put together a team of women pilots to help this good charity raise funds at this Saturday event. Contact [email protected] if you interested in being on our team

JUNE 24 Sun: FCC Flyin Pancake Tea Brunch, Edenvale Aerodrome. Join us for brunch at Robin’s hangar E9 for a brunch of Tea Biscuits, Pancakes & Sausage. Time: 11:30 AM / $12  RSVP [email protected]

JUNE 16-24: Air Race Classic. Join the women who have fun racing each year on a transcontinental race across the USA. For further information go to www.airraceclassic.org

JULY 03-07: Ninety Nines International Conference, Philadelphia PA. 

JULY 14 Sat: Cathy Boyko Hangar BBQ Party. CNQ3 Dorothy Rungeling/Niagara Central Airport. 12:00 – until you want to leave. Bring a sleeping bag, lots of room in the hangar loft.

JULY 23-29: Oshkosh AirVenture. Every year many members of the Ninety-Nines fly or drive to Oshkosh for this week long aviation adventure. Lets all hook up for a get-together and do what pilots love to do…go have lunch or dinner together!

AUGUST 02 Thurs: Eileen Vollick’s Birthday Flyout Lunch, Wiarton Airport. Join us for lunch hosted by the Wiarton COPA Flight to celebrate Eileen Vollick’s birthday.

AUGUST 11 Sat: Gathering of the Classics, 99s Display. Edenvale Aerodrome. The FCC needs volunteers to help at a 99s exhibit display table at this big flyin for classic & vintage aircraft and autos. RSVP Robin Hadfield, [email protected]

AUGUST 22 Wed: FCC Flyin Lunch, Niagara Central Dorothy Rungeling Airport, Welland. Meet at the airport at 11:30 and we will arrange the airport courtesy van to drive us to Niagara Falls for lunch and viewing of the falls. RSVP Robin Hadfield, [email protected]

SEPTEMBER 15 – 17: Gold Cup Air Rally. Route & Final Destination to be provided shortly.

SEPTEMBER TBA: Eileen Vollick Birthday Flyout, Wiarton Airport 12:00. More information to be provided shortly.

OCTOBER TBA: First Canadian Chapter, Annual General Meeting.Location, Date, Time will be provided shortly.
